Job summary

Barrows Training and Education Physical Therapy in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant to join a collaborative team. The position offers an hourly wage of $28–$34, commensurate with experience and credentials.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
• Outpatient experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Patient follow-up with therapeutic exercises as directed by the PT.
• Assist in developing and implementing patient treatment plans.
• Apply manual therapy, exercises, modalities, and educate patients.
• Monitor and document patient progress and report to PT.
• Educate patients and families on exercises and care plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe, quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient FollowUp: Conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities as instructed by the physical therapist.
• Treatment Planning: Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing patient treatment plans.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Implement various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, modalities, and patient education.
• Documentation: Monitor and document patient progress during treatment sessions, reporting changes to the physical therapist.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and families on exercises, pain management techniques, and care plans
• Professional Atmosphere: Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and safety.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree as Physical Therapy Assistant from accredited institution.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Previous outpatient experience preferred but not required.
