Position: Therapist Physical Assistant - $2,500 sign-on bonus

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Temple, TX 76508

Shift Timing: 12 HR Days (07:00 AM - 07:00 PM)

Hourly Pay Rate: $50/hr

Sign-on bonus: $2,500 (One Time)

Essential Functions

• Administers physical therapy interventions as planned by the Physical Therapist to facilitate quality patient care; applies therapeutic methods appropriately.
• Instructs and assists patients, monitors performance and physical status to assess effectiveness.
• Assists with patient mobility, including bed mobility, transfers, and gait; utilizes modalities correctly and answers patient questions.
• Adheres to safety practices with patient guarding.
• Escorts patients to treatment areas and establishes rapport professionally.
• Develops and documents home exercise and instructional programs as needed.
• Prepares assessments and documentation of treatment and progress, sharing information appropriately.
• Communicates with the Physical Therapist regarding patient progress and goal adjustments.
• Submits charges timely and accurately.
• Supervises physical therapy aides and students per Texas Physical Therapy Practice Act guidelines, communicating treatment info effectively.
• Fulfills continuing education and certification requirements, attends professional programs, and reviews current literature.
• Presents educational programs to staff when requested.
