Summary

We are hiring for a Physical Therapy Assistant.

Responsibilities

The Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA, LPTA) performs treatment, provides exercise instruction, and educates patients to improve their well-being, following the established plan of care.

• Adhere to all state laws governing physical therapy in home care, perform only procedures within your qualifications, and recommend changes to the supervising PT as needed.

• Instruct and assist patients with active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait training, functional activities, ADL, transfer techniques, safety, and prosthetic training.

• Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising PT, nurse, and/or physician. Collaborate with the healthcare team as appropriate.

• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members within your scope of practice.

Education and Experience

License Requirements:

• Current license, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy in your state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
