Overview

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant

Location: Storrs, CT

Schedule: Monday through Friday

Compensation: Hourly rate starting at $42-7/hr based on experience

Our Select Physical Therapy outpatient orthopedic center is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant (PTA) to provide top-notch patient care to patients of all ages and abilities. Our highly trained and respected clinical team provides treatment services that maximize functionality and promote the best outcomes for our patients. We take pride in creating an exceptional patient experience, helping all of our patients return to athletics, work, life, and the activities they love.

This is a large clinic with 6 clinicians and an ATC at a local high school. We stand out as a Select Sports Center of Excellence! We are located across from the UConn campus and see many college athletes, including club sports, as well as next to EO Smith High School. We are also near a large medical center with a busy ortho group. This role is ideal for a new graduate or a seasoned therapist interested in sports-related injuries. We are highly involved in local community events and offer opportunities to work with graduate and undergraduate students on the PT track.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Implement, with minimal supervision, high-quality physical therapy services in accordance with principles and practices of physical therapy and company policies.
• Maintain positive interactions with centers and patients, and foster client relations with centers and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
• Passed the national exam for PTAs certified by CAPTE
• Valid state PTA license (or in process)
• CPR certification
