Job summary

Phoenix Home Care and Hospice in the St. Louis area seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide PTA services in the home setting under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This full-time position covers weekday visits across St.

Qualifications

• MO PTA certification required.
• Home Health experience preferred.
• Ability to pass drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Provides PTA assigned services to patients in the home setting under a licensed PT plan of care.
• Participates in communication and case conferences to ensure continuity of care.
• Exhibits sound judgement and skills per agency protocols.
• Maintains compliance with Agency Code of Ethics and regulations.
• Follows safety, infection control and environmental standards.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Physical Therapy Assistants carry out various elements of patient care, gathering relevant information about the treatment administered, and collaborating with the Physical Therapist to make adjustments to the care plan when needed. Responsibilities

• Provides PT assigned services to patients in the home setting in accordance with Physician plan of care and under the supervision of a licensed PT.
• Participates in communication and case conference activities to promote maximum continuity and quality of patient care services.
• Exhibits sound judgement and technical skills necessary to perform assigned treatment and procedure according to established agency protocols.
• Maintains compliance with the Agency Code of Ethics.
• Demonstrates ongoing compliance with agency standards, policies, procedures, state and Federal regulations, state practice acts for licenses personnel, payer requirements.
• Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control measures.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements

• Physical Therapist Assistant Certification for the state of MO
• Home Health experience preferred, not required.
• Ability to Pass Drug Test, Background Check, and Physical
