Job Details

We are looking for a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient rehabilitation clinic in Park Ridge, IL. The role involves assisting licensed physical therapists in providing high-quality care, primarily in orthopedics and post-surgical cases. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, empathy, and a passion for helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional patient care and services.
• Progressing patients' plans of care established by the physical therapist.
• Communicating with physicians through progress notes and discharge summaries after consulting with supervising PT.
• Collaborating with supervising PT on treatment plans, follow-up, and discharge.
• Supervising rehabilitation aides and administrative staff as needed.
• Documenting all treatments and completing paperwork in a timely manner.

Education And/or Experience

• Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current licensure as a PTA in IL or willingness to apply.
• CPR Certified.
• 1-2 years of experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Energetic and a team player.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
