Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital-Oklahoma City, a joint venture with Select Medical, seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to support inpatient rehab teams in Oklahoma City.

Under the supervision of a licensed PT, you will implement the therapy plan of care, coordinate with staff, and assist patients with recovery from brain injuries, spinal injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant required.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT, assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of care.
• Delegates and directs supportive personnel for assigned patients to enhance care.
• Communicates with supervising PT about scheduled patients and adjustments to treatment plans.
• Participates in education of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Performs other professional duties within the scope of practice.

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Schedule:Per Diem

Pay rate:$40.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Responsible for delegation and direction of supportive personnel for those assigned patients, in order to enhance patient care services.
• Consistently communicates with supervising PT in regard to scheduled patients to ensure identification of need for assessment and reassessment of patients, modification of treatment plans and other interventions requiring therapist direction.
• Participates in education of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, within the scope of practice.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred candidate has one or more years of experience.
