Job summary

Reliant Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in a Texas facility. You will help implement treatment plans, manage patient cases, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

You will work with a dedicated clinical team, participate in ongoing training, mentorship programs, and align care with Reliant's established protocols to support partners and patients across communities.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Must hold a valid Physical Therapy Assistant state license.
  • Proficiency in English for clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Physical Therapy and related services under supervision of a licensed PT.
  • Implement treatment plans and supervise Rehab Technicians as applicable.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and comply with state/federal regulations.
  • Support patients to improve functional abilities under PT guidance.
  • Develop and sustain a robust physical therapy program.
  • Ensure accurate clinical documentation and billing practices.

Responsibilities
  • This Physical Therapy Assistant delivers Physical Therapy and related services to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT), ensuring high-quality care and positive engagement with both clients and facilities. Services should align with the principles of physical therapy and adhere to Reliant Rehabilitation’s standards. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, supervising Rehab Technicians (as applicable), and managing patient cases. Maintain a professional demeanor that reflects Reliant Rehabilitation’s dedication to excellence in service and client relationships. Comply with all applicable state and federal regulations governing physical therapy practice. Key Responsibilities:
  • Support patients in improving functional abilities and skills under the guidance of a licensed PT.
  • Contribute to the development and sustainability of a robust physical therapy program.
  • Advance clinical, professional, and leadership skills through collaboration, self-directed learning, and continuing education.
  • Maintain a current and valid state license and stay informed on developments in physical therapy and healthcare.
  • Understand and apply appropriate billing practices and treatment delivery models, ensuring care meets clinical and regulatory standards.
  • Follow infection control and environmental safety protocols within the facility.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English for effective communication and documentation
  • Maintaining confidentiality as appropriate and ensuring compliance with the state practice act in the state(s) where you are licensed.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program
