Job summary

Reliant Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide high‑quality therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. You will implement treatment plans, document progress, and ensure compliant, patient‑centered care across our facilities.

The role emphasizes ongoing clinical development, collaboration with therapists and technicians, and maintaining licensure while delivering services in a patient‑friendly, compliant environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an APTA‑accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Valid PTA state license.
  • Ability to adhere to state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Support patients under the supervision of a licensed PT to improve functional abilities.
  • Contribute to development and sustainability of a physical therapy program.
  • Advance clinical, professional, and leadership skills through collaboration and continuing education.
  • Maintain a current PTA license and stay informed on developments in physical therapy and healthcare.
  • Apply appropriate billing practices and treatment delivery models while ensuring compliance with clinical standards.
  • Follow infection control and environmental safety protocols within the facility.
  • Demonstrate clear communication in English for documentation and interactions.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and compliance with state practice acts.

Responsibilities

This Physical Therapy Assistant delivers Physical Therapy and related services to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT), ensuring high‑quality care and positive engagement with both clients and facilities. Services should align with the principles of physical therapy and adhere to Reliant Rehabilitation’s standards. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, supervising Rehab Technicians (as applicable), and managing patient cases. Maintain a professional demeanor that reflects Reliant Rehabilitation’s dedication to excellence in service and client relationships. Comply with all applicable state and federal regulations governing physical therapy practice.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English for effective communication and documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality as appropriate and ensure compliance with the state practice act in the state(s) where you are licensed.
