Foothills Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Maryville, TN is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to join our in-house therapy team. The PTA will conduct screenings, develop care plans, and deliver rehabilitative treatments in a post-acute setting consistent with regulatory standards.

Requirements include an active Physical Therapist Assistant license. Open to PTAs at all experience levels; new grads are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care and develop care plans adhering to standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions.
• Perform regular standing/walking and assist with transfers and repositioning of patients and equipment.
• Administer procedures part of rehabilitation plan (manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, devices, wound care).
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services, ensuring regulatory compliance.

Foothills Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Maryville, TN, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric outpatient services provided. We are seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house therapy team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.
