Job summary

FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers - Madison, CT is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant for our outpatient clinic. You will provide one-on-one outpatient PT services under the supervision of a PT, with a focus on balance, vestibular and functional mobility therapies.

Qualifications

• Must hold CT PTA license or be in final stages of licensure.
• Strong communication and patient care skills required.
• Outpatient therapy experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality outpatient PT treatments under the direction of a Physical Therapist, 1-on-1 care.
• Carry out individualized plans of care and document progress.
• Work with orthopedic, balance, vestibular, and functional mobility needs.
• Educate patients on exercises and wellness strategies.
• Collaborate with therapists and interdisciplinary team.

Salary: $28 - $38 per hour (based on experience)

What You’ll Do

• Provide high-quality outpatient physical therapy treatments under the direction of a Physical Therapist including 1 on 1 care ranging from 10 - 14 per day.
• Carry out individualized plans of care
• Work with patients with orthopedic, balance, vestibular, and functional mobility needs
• Document treatments accurately and efficiently
• Educate patients on exercises, injury prevention, and wellness strategies
• Collaborate closely with Physical Therapists and the interdisciplinary team
• Contribute to a supportive and patient-centered clinic environment

What We’re Looking For

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Connecticut (or in the final stages of licensure)
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Team-oriented, reliable, and motivated
• Positive attitude and enjoys working in a collaborative environment
• Outpatient, ortho, neuro, vestibular, or balance therapy experience is a plus (not required)
