Responsibilities

Physical Therapist Assistant

Summary: Provide physical therapy and related services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). Maintain positive interactions with facilities and patients, deliver quality care per a plan of care, supervise Rehab Techs (if required), and handle case management responsibilities. Uphold professional conduct reflecting Reliant’s commitment to quality and service, adhering to all regulations.

Essential Duties:

  • Assist in optimizing patients' functional abilities under PT supervision.
  • Develop and build a strong physical therapy program.
  • Enhance clinical, professional, and management skills through collaboration, self-study, and continuing education.
  • Maintain valid state licensure and stay informed on relevant healthcare issues.
  • Understand billing, treatment guidelines, and delivery models to provide quality, compliant care.
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Graduate of an APTA-accredited school of physical therapy.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in clinical documentation and basic internet navigation.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state.
