Job summary

Seacrest Behavioral Health seeks a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver treatment and exercise instruction under a supervising Physical Therapist. You will assist with active and passive exercises, gait, ADLs, transfers, and safety training while complying with state laws.

You will observe patient responses, coordinate care with the healthcare team, and educate patients and families within your scope of practice. Weekend rotations may be required as part of care coverage.

Qualifications

• Current licensure, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy assistance within the state.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation or access to public transit
• Availability for weekend rotations
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, transferring, and mobility assistance (preferred)
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education following a treatment plan from a supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assist patients with active and passive exercises, gait, ADLs, transfers, and safety training.
• Observe and report patient responses; coordinate care with the healthcare team.
