Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our home-based care team in Missouri. You will provide PT services under a supervising PT, help patients meet mobility goals, and educate families on home therapy and device use.

The role requires an active PTA license in the state, graduation from an accredited PTA program, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Travel between patient homes is required with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program approved by the American Therapy Association
• 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds
• Must possess a valid driver's license or have reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and work locations

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services according to the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist
• Help patients work toward therapy goals that improve mobility, function, and independence
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs and techniques to support progress
• Teach patients and families how to safely use assistive devices (canes, walkers, wheelchairs, prosthetics, orthotics)
• Deliver safe, high-quality therapy services per physician orders and clinical standards

• Deliver safe, high-quality therapy services in accordance with physician orders, clinical standards, and state practice guidelines

What is Required?

• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association
• 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment
• Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, OR have reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations
