Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team providing compassionate in-home care. You’ll deliver therapy per the plan, help patients regain mobility, and monitor progress with the supervising PT.

You will educate patients and caregivers on home programs, teach safe use of assistive devices, and ensure high-quality services in accordance with physician orders and state guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• 6+ months experience as a PTA preferred.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and reposition patients up to 50 pounds.
• Must possess a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to travel between patient homes.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services according to the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist.
• Help patients work toward therapy goals to improve mobility, function, and independence.

Teach patients and families how to safely use assistive devices, including canes, walkers, wheelchairs, prosthetics, and orthotics. Deliver safe, high-quality therapy services in accordance with physician orders, clinical standards, and state practice guidelines.

What is Required?

• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association
• 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment
• Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, OR have reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations
