Aspirus Ironwood Hospital in Ironwood, MI is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support the outpatient Physical Therapy team across pediatric to geriatric patients under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited PTA associate degree, current Michigan PTA license, and CPR certification, with 1–3 years’ PTA experience preferred. Day shifts; full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification.

Aspirus Ironwood Hospital in Ironwood, MI is seeking a PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT to join our PHYSICAL THERAPY team!

The Physical Therapist Assistant carries outpatient treatment procedures for pediatrics, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients under the guidance and general supervision of a licensed physical therapist.

HOURS: Full Time; 1.0 FTE or 80 hours per pay period. Day Shift.

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of physical therapy standards and practices normally acquired through completion of an Associate Degree from a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• Current CPR certification
• Current Michigan PTA license
• 1-3 years' experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant desirable.

Aspirus Ironwood Hospital includes a 25-bed critical access hospital, multi-specialty clinic, satellite clinic in Wisconsin, surgical clinic, walk-in clinic and a home health agency. Ironwood's service area covers approximately 30,000 people. The hospital has a 3 bed ICU and 4 surgical units. The emergency department is staffed 24/7 with ER physicians, with approximately 12,000 visits annually. The hospital's inpatient census is 12 patients per day. The outpatient clinic has over 50,000 visits annually.
