Job summary

Aspirus Medford Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our Therapy team in Medford, WI. The OTA works with one OT to implement patient care plans across in-patient settings, including acute hospital, swing bed, and SNF, with a mix of diagnoses.

Part-time or 0.6 FTE, 48 hours per pay period, typically Monday–Friday; weekends are uncommon with occasional holiday coverage. Wisconsin/Michigan licensure and BLS are required or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Wisconsin and/or Michigan OT Assistant licensure required.
• BLS certification or within 90 days of hire is required and maintained.

Aspirus Medford Hospital in Medford, WI is seeking a OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT to join our THERAPY team!

The Occupational Therapy Assistant works directly with one Occupational Therapist to cover all settings to carry out treatment plan of patient care. This is an In-Patient position to include acute hospital, swing bed, and SNF settings with a wide variety of diagnoses and patient positions.

HOURS: Part Time or .6 FTE, 48 hours every pay period. Primarily Monday-Friday, generally no weekends, occasional holiday coverage.

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of occupational therapy standards and practices normally acquired through graduation of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Previous experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant beneficial.
• Current Wisconsin and/or Michigan licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.
