Qualifications

• Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) from an accredited program.
• Experience in inpatient facilities, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments preferred.
• Proficiency in physiotherapy modalities and manual therapy.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology; ability to apply in practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Provide direct patient care through therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques.
• Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment interventions comprehensively.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises, mobility techniques, and injury prevention strategies to support ongoing recovery.
• Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition to home or other care settings, ensuring continuity of care.
• Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment in accordance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
• Stay current with advancements in physiotherapy techniques and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills.

• Familiarity with specialized areas such as orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and acute care is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of diverse backgrounds and healthcare professionals.
