Role Description

This part-time, on-site Physical Therapist Assistant role is located in Erie County, PA. The Physical Therapist Assistant will support licensed Physical Therapists in carrying out treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to help patients meet their rehabilitation goals. Daily responsibilities include monitoring patient progress, documenting treatments, and communicating observations to the supervising Physical Therapist. The role involves educating patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and best practices for recovery, while maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant clinical environment. The Physical Therapist Assistant will work closely with the care team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, with the ability to implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Demonstrated commitment to Patient Care and Quality Patient Care, including clear communication, empathy, and attention to patient safety and comfort.
• Knowledge of Orthopedics and musculoskeletal conditions, and the ability to assist with orthopedic-focused therapy interventions.
• Current certification or licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Pennsylvania.
• Previous experience in an outpatient or similar clinical setting preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment and manage time effectively with multiple patients.
• Basic computer skills for electronic health record documentation and scheduling.
• Physical ability to safely assist patients with transfers, exercises, and use of equipment.
