Formación

• Current Texas PTA license.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain.
• Strong communication, organizational, clinical, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist.
• Perform therapeutic exercises, gait, balance, and functional mobility activities.
• Assist residents in improving strength, range of motion, coordination, and independence.
• Monitor patient response and communicate progress to the Physical Therapist and staff.
• Educate residents and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and safety.
• Collaborate with nursing, physicians, and other therapists as a care team.
• Complete accurate treatment documentation in compliance with requirements.
• Participate in care planning and communicate resident progress.

Job Summary

Avir at Montana is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The Physical Therapist Assistant will provide high-quality rehabilitation services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, with an emphasis on improving residents’ mobility, strength, balance, independence, and overall quality of life.

The ideal candidate is dependable, patient-centered, and committed to delivering individualized care in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

• Implement individualized treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist.

• Perform therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, transfer training, and functional mobility activities.

• Assist residents in improving strength, range of motion, coordination, balance, and functional independence.

• Monitor resident response to treatment and communicate progress or changes in condition to the Physical Therapist and appropriate clinical staff.

• Educate residents and caregivers regarding exercises, mobility techniques, positioning, and safety precautions.

• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.

• Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.

• Participate in care planning and communicate resident progress and functional changes.

• Promote resident safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life throughout the rehabilitation process.

• Maintain professional standards and comply with applicable federal, state, and facility requirements.

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the State of Texas.

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

• Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain as required.

• Strong communication, organizational, clinical, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively with older adults and individuals with varying levels of mobility and medical needs.

• Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or a related setting is preferred.

• Full-time and/or per diem opportunities available.
