Job summary

Avir Trilogy at Avir at Montana in El Paso, Texas, is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. This is a full-time opportunity with benefits and a supportive, interdisciplinary environment.

As a PTA, you will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to provide skilled therapy, implement treatment plans, and help residents improve mobility, balance, and independence through compassionate, resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Active Texas PTA license in good standing.
• Experience with geriatric or post-acute care is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled therapy interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans and monitor progress.
• Address strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and functional needs.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercises and strategies.

What You'll Do

As a PTA, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide skilled, hands-on therapy services that help residents improve their strength, mobility, balance, endurance, independence, and overall quality of life.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing skilled therapy interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist
• Implementing individualized treatment plans
• Addressing strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and functional needs
• Monitoring resident progress and response to treatment
• Educating residents, families, and caregivers on exercises and mobility strategies
• Communicating resident progress and concerns to the supervising PTCompleting timely and accurate documentation
• Collaborating with nursing and the interdisciplinary care team
• Providing compassionate, resident-centered care

What We're Looking For

• Active Texas Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
• License in good standing with applicable licensing boards and regulatory agencies
• LTC/SNF, geriatric, or post-acute experience preferred, but not required
• Net Health experience is a plus
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative therapy team
• Passion for helping residents maintain mobility, function, and independence
