Job summary

Avir Trilogy at Avir at La Hacienda in Eagle Pass, Texas, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time, in-house therapy role. You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to help residents improve mobility, strength and independence.

The role emphasizes teamwork within an interdisciplinary team, compassionate care, and adherence to individualized treatment plans. Licensure in Texas is required; LTC/SNF experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active Texas PTA license in good standing.
• LTC/SNF, geriatric or post-acute experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, organization and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans tailored to residents' goals.
• Target strength, mobility, balance, endurance and functional needs.
• Monitor resident progress and response to treatment.
• Educate residents, families and caregivers on exercises and mobility strategies.
• Communicate progress and concerns to the supervising PT.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with nursing and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Deliver compassionate, resident-centered care.

What You'll Do

As a PTA, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide skilled, hands-on therapy services that help residents improve their strength, mobility, balance, endurance, independence, and overall quality of life.

• Providing skilled therapy interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist
• Implementing individualized treatment plans
• Addressing strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and functional needs
• Monitoring resident progress and response to treatment
• Educating residents, families, and caregivers on exercises and mobility strategies
• Communicating resident progress and concerns to the supervising PT
• Completing timely and accurate documentation
• Collaborating with nursing and the interdisciplinary care team
• Providing compassionate, resident-centered care

What We're Looking For

• Active Texas Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
• License in good standing with applicable licensing boards and regulatory agencies
• LTC/SNF, geriatric, or post-acute experience preferred, but not required
• Net Health experience is a plus
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative therapy team
• Passion for helping residents maintain mobility, function, and independence
