Job summary

Select Rehabilitation Hospital of Denton is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a per diem role in Denton, Texas. You will work under the supervision of a licensed PT to help implement therapy plans and coordinate with staff for patient care.

The position offers orientation and the potential for advancement within our inpatient rehabilitation setting. The successful candidate will hold current PTA licensure or eligibility and have BLS certification or complete it within the first 90 days.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT, assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of care.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of supportive personnel for those assigned patients, in order to enhance patient care services.
• Communicates with supervising PT regarding scheduled patients for assessment and modification of treatment plans.
• Participates in education of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Performs other professional duties within the scope of practice.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant required.
