Select Rehabilitation Hospital - Denton, part of Select Medical, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a per diem role in Denton, Texas. The PTA will assist with therapy plan implementation under a licensed PT, supervise support staff, and communicate closely with the PT to adapt care as needed.

Required licensure or eligibility, with BLS certification due within 90 days. Per diem position with opportunities to advance and participate in an extensive orientation program.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with the implementation of the therapy plan of care under the direct supervision of a licensed PT.
• Delegate and direct supportive personnel to enhance patient care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with supervising PT to identify needs for assessment or modification of treatment plans.
• Participate in education for patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Perform other professional duties related to patient care within the scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT, assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of care.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of supportive personnel for those assigned patients, in order to enhance patient care services.
• Consistently communicates with supervising PT in regard to scheduled patients to ensure identification of need for assessment and reassessment of patients, modification of treatment plans and other interventions requiring therapist direction.
• Participates in education of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, within the scope of practice.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred candidate has one or more years of experience.
