Job summary

Brookings Health System is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a benefit-eligible part-time position at its Long Term Care Facility - The Neighborhoods at Brookview in Brookings, SD. The role involves implementing treatment plans, providing therapeutic care, and training patients on safety and exercises.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Possess current state licensure; new graduates will be considered.
• CPR certification must be obtained within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising PT.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and training.
• Monitor progress and report outcomes.
• Educate individuals and families on exercise and safety.
• Assist in maintaining therapy equipment.

Worker Type: Regular. Work Shift: Day Shift. Position: Physical Therapist Assistant at Brookings Health System, Long Term Care Facility - The Neighborhoods at Brookview.

Position Highlights

Compensation range: $22.42 to $33.19 per hour, depending on experience. Job Type

Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising PT.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training, and functional mobility activities.
• Monitor the individual’s progress and report outcomes to the supervising PT.
• Educate individuals, families, and caregivers on exercise and safety.
• Assist in maintaining therapy equipment and supplies.

Qualifications, Training, and Experience Requirements

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state licensure – new graduates will be considered.
• CPR required or obtained within 60 days of employment.
• Possess a valid driving license and be insurable.
