Job summary

Advocate Healthcare of East Boston is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our in-house therapy team.

We offer a 5k sign-on bonus, flexible schedule, and H1B sponsorship for eligible candidates. New grads are welcome to apply, with supervision by a Licensed Physical Therapist to administer prescribed treatments and monitor patient progress.

Qualifications

• Graduate PTA from an accredited program.
• New grads welcome to apply.
• Experience with Net Health is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments under PT supervision.
• Provide skilled PT services and interventions per physician orders.
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans with IDT collaboration.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals and activities.

To be considered you will need

• Graduation from an accredited school of physical therapist assistant is required

Resident Care:

• Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing

• Provides skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist

• Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to Physical Therapist

• Implements and modifies the patient’s physical therapy plan of treatment with PT supervision

• Measures & records patient’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance

• Monitor patient response to treatment intervention and modify treatment approach and directive as clinically appropriate with IDT collaboration

• Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers

• Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely and complies with all company and state/federal regulatory requirements

Training/Education:

• Participate in collaborative care conferences

• Coordinate and provide training with Restorative Nursing and other Care staff

• Provide education and training to patient, caregiver, and community partners

• Assist with training and education of facility and professional partners

• Ensure compliance with mandatory education, training and competency programs

• Participation in PTA student development and educational programs
