Overview

An established healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to support its rehabilitation team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality patient care, helping individuals regain mobility and improve their quality of life.

What you'll do

• Implement physical therapy treatment plans as developed by the Physical Therapist
• Provide non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, massage, traction, and various modalities (heat, light, cold, water, and electrical) to patients
• Accurately document daily, weekly, or monthly records of patient care and submit clinical paperwork to the office on time each week
• Attend educational meetings and coordinate and contribute to department in-services
• Notify the Physical Therapist or Executive Director of equipment failures, supply shortages, staff or patient changes, and other departmental issues
• Schedule patients and perform various office tasks
• Apply infection control and universal precautions principles during patient care activities
• Accept clinical assignments that match education and competence levels
• Promote compliance with fiscal intermediaries and third-party payors through education, coaching, and other assistance as necessary

Required qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association accredited program
• Current state license to practice Physical Therapy
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
• Current CPR certification
