Job summary

Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, GA, seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant I for outpatient rehabilitation to support patient care across pediatrics to geriatrics.

You will implement and document treatment plans, teach patients and families, and collaborate with therapists and other healthcare professionals in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited two year physical therapy assistant program.
• Licensed as a physical therapy assistant in the state of Georgia.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Implement and document patient treatment per plan of care developed by the therapist across the age continuum (pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric).
• Provide formal and informal teaching of patient and family.
• Understand and implement a plan of care and recognize the need for intervention by the Physical Therapist.
• Communicate effectively both written and verbally with other healthcare personnel, the patient, family, and community members.
• Assist patients in practicing skills in mobility and exercise.

Education
