Job Summary

The Physical Therapist conducts initial and ongoing assessments and provides skilled therapeutic interventions to patients, including outpatients, inpatients, pediatrics, and off-site locations, supporting the entire continuum of professional care.

Essential Functions

1. Evaluate patients, develop treatment plans with specific goals, and adjust as needed based on ongoing assessments.
2. Provide direct therapy following the patient's care plan and current standards of practice, including patient and family instruction.
3. Maintain accurate records of treatments, patient progress, and other documentation in the electronic medical record.
4. Maintain productivity standards while ensuring quality care.
5. Adhere to departmental policies on safety, infection control, and administrative procedures.
6. Supervise physical therapist assistants and support professional growth.

Qualifications

Education: None required.

Licensing & Certifications: Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist or eligibility for traineeship or temporary license; BLS certification (required within 30 days for BSMH, at hire for RSFH).

Experience: Preferred 2 years in a similar setting.
