Position: Physical Therapist - PRN
The Physical Therapist completes initial assessments, ongoing evaluations, and provides skilled therapeutic interventions to patients using their educational knowledge, skills, and abilities. This may involve outpatients, inpatients, pediatrics, and off-site locations. Services the patients as part of the entire continuum of professional care.
Evaluates patients, gathers pertinent information, and develops appropriate treatment plans with specific goals. Responsible for ongoing assessment, treatment efficiency, and plan revisions as needed.
Provides direct therapy following the patient's plan of care and current standards of practice for Physical Therapy. Provides instruction in therapeutic procedures to patients and families.
Maintains accurate records of treatments and patient progress. Documents all care, coordination, orders, goals, etc., in the electronic medical record promptly. Provides timely co-signature for supervised physical therapy assistants, if applicable.
Maintains productivity levels without compromising quality, delivering efficient and effective care that meets or exceeds department standards.
Follows departmental policies on safety, infection control, time off, and time recording, including all necessary education and compliance requirements.
Supervises physical therapist assistants’ interventions and professional growth.
