Job summary

Atrium Medical Center in Ohio is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide comprehensive evaluation and one-to-one treatment in Inpatient & Acute Care settings, full-time 8:30am–5:00pm with one weekend per month. This role includes direct patient care and monitoring progress, with access to the Medication Room for assigned tasks.

The Physical Therapist will handle documentation and patient/family teaching, participate in staff management and cost management, pursue ongoing professional practice,

Qualifications

• Degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Current physical therapy license in State of Ohio. Maintains CEUs for licensure renewal.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• May be a recent graduate with a generalist background.
• Prefer a minimum of one-year experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment to patients in an Inpatient and Acute Care setting.
• Delivers direct patient care and monitors patient progress.
• Performs one-to-one physical therapy treatment for orthopedic, neurological and work-related impairments.
• Completes required documentation and provides patient/family teaching.
• Participates in staff management, cost management and professional practice activities.
• Maintains licensure and CEUs; demonstrates excellent customer service and contributes to department effectiveness.

Physical Therapist

The Physical Therapist provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment to patients. This individual will provide direct patient care and will monitor and report the patient’s progress in an Inpatient and Acute Care setting.

The Physical Therapist performs physical therapy treatment on a one-to-one for patients with orthopedic, neurological and work-related impairments. Access to Medication Room is required to perform the assigned job function. Completes required documentation and provides appropriate patient and/or family teaching.

The Physical Therapist will also participate in staff management, cost management, and professional practice activities. Will be responsible for maintaining certification and/or licensure, achieving all continuing education requirements, demonstrating excellent customer service and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department.

Education:

Degree in physical therapy from an accredited Physical Therapist program.

Licensure:

Current physical therapy license in State of Ohio. Maintains CEUs for licensure renewal.

Certification:
