Job summary

Park Nicollet is hiring a Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. This casual acute care role involves providing direct patient care across adolescent to geriatric populations, with pediatric care for some specialties.

The position uses diverse PT techniques to restore function and reduce pain. Work includes multiple hospital areas (general med/surgical, tele, ortho, neuro, oncology, ICU) with a requirement of at least two weekend days per month and potential weekday/holiday shifts;

Qualifications

• Doctorate, master’s, or bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.
• Licensed with the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy.
• Preferred: membership in related professional organization; proficiency with communication and data processing equipment; proficiency with clinical equipment; proficiency with EMR software.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Provides direct patient care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations, with pediatric care required for some specialty positions. This position uses a variety of physical therapy techniques to restore individuals to maximum functional ability, independence, participation, and freedom from pain. Performs related duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

Casual position in acute care- working in multiple areas of hospital including general med/surgical, tele, ortho, neuro, oncology, and ICU. Schedule requires a minimum of 2 weekend days per month; opportunities to fill in on weekdays and holidays as needed. Previous acute care experience required.

Required Qualifications:

• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

  • Doctorate, master’s, or bachelor’s degree in physical therapy

• Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

  • Licensed with the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recommend experience as a Physical Therapist preferably in a medical setting.

  • Recommend membership in related professional organization.
  • Proficient with communication and data processing equipment.
  • Proficient in clinical equipment related to area of expertise.
  • Proficient in organization electronic medical record software.
