Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in patient care for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. May direct the work of a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Meets the discipline-specific productivity standard.
• Demonstrates competency in patient care during field observation by the clinical supervisor.
• Completes and submits documentation following established guidelines, as measured by a designated evaluation tool.
• Ensures physician orders are present and correctly written.
• Documents follow-up of identified problems.
• Reviews and documents clinical progress toward goals.
• Coordinates care through appropriate communication with other disciplines and team members, documented as measured by a designated evaluation tool.
• Manages visit utilization and authorization status appropriately, as measured by a designated evaluation tool.
• Meets agency/regulatory requirements, as measured by a designated evaluation tool.
• Meets regulatory requirements for supervisory visits, as measured by a designated evaluation tool.

Qualifications

Experience

• Two (2) years of experience in a healthcare setting.

License and Certifications

• Current California license to practice Physical Therapy.
• Current California driver’s license, automobile insurance, and access to an operating motor vehicle.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
