Job summary

Kessler Rehabilitation Center in West Orange, NJ seeks a Physical Therapist specialized in neuro-based outpatient care. This full-time role offers 40 hours weekly at location 1199 Pleasant Valley Way, with a compensation range of $86,000-$110,000 annually and a sign-on bonus up to $15,000.

You’ll perform evaluations, develop individualized plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the rehab team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an APTA-accredited physical therapy program.
• New Jersey state license/registration required to start.
• Outpatient orthopedics experience preferred; entry level acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive evaluations and progresses individualized treatment plans.
• Educates patients and caregivers and plans discharge when medical necessity ends.
• Participates in departmental initiatives and communicates with rehab team.
• Facilitates professional growth and improves departmental performance.
• Performs other duties related to care, therapy services, and program delivery.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist (PT):

• Performs comprehensive evaluations, develops and appropriately progresses individualized treatment plans.
• Provides thorough education to patients and caregivers in a manner they can understand, and plans appropriately for discharge when medical necessity no longer indicates skilled therapeutic care.
• Participates in departmental initiatives and demonstrates effective communication with all rehab team members.
• Facilitates professional growth, development and overall improvement of departmental performance.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services, and design of program delivery.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy.
• Valid New Jersey State Physical Therapy License/ Registration REQUIRED to start.
• Prior experience in outpatient orthopedics preferred; entry level/New Grad acceptable
