HCA Florida NeuSpine Institute is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis in Florida. You will plan and administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability for patients with injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.

The role involves evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, guiding demonstrations and home exercises, and collaborating with physicians to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy.
• Three or more years of experience.
• Must possess a current physical therapy license.

Responsibilities

• Reviews physician's referral and patient records to determine prescribed therapy.
• Tests and measures strength, motor development, sensory perception, and functional capacity; records findings for treatment planning.
• Plans and prepares written treatment programs based on evaluation of patient data.
• Administers manual exercises to improve function and mobility.
• Instructs and assists patients in performing activities and using devices.
• Applies physical agents and modalities as appropriate.
• Evaluates progress and adjusts treatments to maximize benefit.
• Records treatment and progress in chart and electronic systems.
• Educates patient and family for home programs.
• Evaluates and fits prosthetic/orthotic devices; collaborates with orthotist.
• Communicates with physicians and team to tailor treatment."
• Leads training for staff and students; participates in research programs.

Seeking a Physical Therapist who plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint and bone diseases, to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.

What you will do in this role:

Reviews Physician's referral (prescription) and patient's condition and medical records todeterminephysical therapy treatment required.

Tests and measures patient's strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency, and records findings to develop or revise treatment programs.

Plans and prepares written treatmentprogrambased on evaluation of patient data.

Administers manual exercises to improve andmaintainfunction.

Instructs, motivates, andassistspatientto perform various physical activities and in use of assistant and supportive devices such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.

Administers treatments involvingapplication of physicalagents.

Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit.

Administers massage.

Administers traction to relieve pain.

Records treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart orentersinformation into computer.

Instructspatientand family in treatment procedures to be continued at home.

Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommends modification to Orthoptist.

Confers with Physician and other practitioners to obtainadditionalpatient information, suggest revisions in treatment program, and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of patient's health care.

Orients,instructs, and directs work activities of assistants, aides, and students.

Plans andconductslectures and training programs on physical therapy and related topics for medical staff, students, and community groups.

Plans and develops physical therapy research programs andparticipatesin conducting research.

What Qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION:

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy.

EXPERIENCE:

Threeor more years of experiencedesired.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:

Mustpossessa current physical therapy license.
