Job summary

TransPerfect Health in Minnesota/Virginia seeks a Physical Therapist to deliver patient-centered care in Senior Living and Skilled Nursing settings. You will screen, evaluate, and treat under state practice acts, while documenting plans of care and collaborating with the Director of Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities include supervising Therapy Assistants, infection control, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on quality of life for older adults. Competitive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Current or eligible Physical Therapist license in the state of practice.
• Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• If foreign-trained, degree evaluated as equivalent by an APTA-approved agency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and treatments per state acts and policies.
• Support functional mobility and quality of life for seniors.
• Complete documentation promptly and accurately.
• Participate in orientations, staff meetings, and education.
• Develop therapy program in collaboration with Rehabilitation Director.
• Provide supervision to Therapy Assistants as indicated.
• Follow infection control procedures and OBRA guidelines.
• Prioritize patient care with sound clinical judgment.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Perform duties with moderate to heavy physical demands.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct screenings, evaluations, assessments, and treatments in accordance with state practice acts, plan of care, and company policies
• Help optimize functional mobility, independence, and quality of life for members of the aging population
• Accurately complete all required documentation in a timely manner
• Participate in required orientations, staff meetings, and in-service education
• In collaboration with the Director of Rehabilitation, develop a robust therapy program
• Provide clinical supervision to Therapy Assistants as indicated
• Follow all infection control procedures and OBRA Resident Rights Guidelines
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and effectively prioritize patient care
• Support compliance with all state and federal regulations
• Perform duties that may involve moderate to heavy physical demands
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned

• Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program
  • If foreign-trained, degree must be evaluated as equivalent to U.S. entry-level PT education by an APTA-approved credentialing agency
