Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to join our home health team in Tucson, AZ, providing patient-centered therapy in the comfort of patients' homes. You will evaluate and treat patients, develop care plans, and coordinate with caregivers to improve mobility and daily function.

Qualifications include a state PT license, CAPTE-accredited education, CPR certification, and ideally one year of relevant home health experience. The role offers flexible hours and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PT program.
• One year related physical therapy experience for home health care.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders and mentoring/ residency participation.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations (every 30 days, at minimum), modify interventions as necessary, and perform discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
