Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a part-time PRN Physical Therapist to support patients at home. You will provide movement rehabilitation, design interventions, reexaminations every 30 days, and discharge planning, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes in a home setting. Current state PT license and CPR are required.

Prior home health experience is preferred. Orientation pay is $60.00–$68.00 per hour, with the Point Pay System after orientation.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the state you are assigned to work in.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy educational program.
• One year related physical therapy experience for home health care or approval/mentoring if less than one year.
• Current CPR certification.

• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations (every 30 days, at minimum), modify interventions as necessary, and perform discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
