Job summary

NuRoc Health and Rehab in Laona, Wisconsin, is hiring a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our Therapy Team. You will work with our therapists to empower residents to participate in daily activities and help develop treatment plans to support growth and recovery.

This position is available as Full-Time FT or Per Diem/PRN, with scheduling flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in state(s) of practice.
• Continuing education and professional development expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to residents under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Conduct screenings of residents at regular intervals to determine intervention needs.
• Assist in evaluations and develop short/long-term goals with the Physical Therapist.
• Help establish and modify resident treatment plans and schedules.
• Assist in resident and family education and training on therapies and equipment.

NuRoc Health and Rehab is hiring compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our Therapy Team.

As a PTA, you will work alongside our growing department of therapists empowering patients to participate in their activities of daily living. In addition, you will help develop strategies and treatment plans to support patient growth and ability to overcome challenges.

This position is Full-Time FT or Per Diem/PRN

Location: Laona, WI

Job Functions

• Provide physical therapy services to residents under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Conduct screenings of residents at regular intervals todeterminethe needfor intervention/treatment.
• Identifyindications for evaluations atappropriate intervalsandassistin the evaluation under the direction of the Physical Therapist.
• Assist the Physical Therapist inidentifyinga target list, including short-term goals, long-termgoalsand treatment plan.
• Conduct both individual and group treatment as assigned by the Physical Therapist and outlined in treatment plan that includes, but is not limited to, areas of muscle strength, coordination, mobility, sensory awareness, sitting and standing, transfer training, balance activities, gait training, range of motion activities and modalities.
• Assistin theselectionof physical therapy techniques/media and in the sequence of activities, adapts techniques/media asindicatedby the resident’s performance and following consultation with the Physical Therapist
• Monitor residents’ response to intervention andconsultwith the Physical Therapist if modification isindicated.
• Assist in establishing and modifying individual resident schedules in conjunction with the Physical Therapist and other team members.
• Adhere to department and resident schedule andmodifiesasappropriate fortreatment regimen.
• Train residents, family and appropriate staff in the use or application of such equipment.
• Actively participate in resident, family, and staff education.
• Consistentlydemonstratesound judgment in the evaluation, planning, implementation, and follow-up of resident therapy programs.
• Assistwith andparticipatesin Quality Assurance Program asrequired.
• To complete compliant and medically necessary documentation from CMS expectations inNetHealthEMR systems

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in physical therapyfrom an accredited program.
• Assumes responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development.
• Must have an active Physical Therapy Assistant license in state(s) of practice.
• Assume responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development tomaintaincurrent licensure and certification
