Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to provide high-quality outpatient care in a hospital-based setting in Kansas. The PT will evaluate, design, and implement treatment plans to restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve function, collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include performing comprehensive evaluations, developing evidence-based plans, guiding post-surgical rehab, educating patients, documenting in EMR, and participating in quality

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Mastera0s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current, active state Physical Therapist license.
  • CPR certification (BLS required).
  • Strong clinical reasoning and evaluation skills.
  • Ability to manage a primarily outpatient caseload with some post-surgical patients.
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively within a hospital-based team.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and functional independence.
  • Provide post-operative rehabilitation for orthopedic and other surgical patients.
  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and recovery strategies.
  • Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely in the EMR.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, nursing staff, and the broader healthcare team to coordinate care.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

This role focuses primarily on outpatient rehabilitation while also assisting patients recovering from surgical procedures.

The PT evaluates, develops, and implements individualized treatment plans designed to restore mobility, reduce pain, improve function, and enhance overall quality of life.
