Job summary

Phoenix Physical Therapy is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to develop and implement therapy programs, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, and oversee assistants and aides in a clinical setting.

You will evaluate patients, create personalized plans, and help restore function and reduce pain while ensuring safety and confidentiality. Opportunities include mentorship and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy.
  • Active Physical Therapy license.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Competency in PT evaluation, assessment, care planning and treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with patients to collect medical history and evaluate current ability.
  • Develop rehabilitative treatment programs to maximize function or reduce pain.
  • Use therapeutic procedures, exercise, or equipment to restore movement, strength, or flexibility.
  • Coordinate care across an interdisciplinary team and supervise support staff.
  • Re-evaluate patients and modify care plans as needed.
  • Educate patients and families about recovery expectations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and safety.
  • Comply with Medicare and other quality initiatives.

Location: Selinsgrove, PA. Position Type: Full Time.

Position Summary

The Physical Therapist develops and implements physical therapy programs to restore function and improve physical movement. Coordinates care across an interdisciplinary team and oversees work of physical therapy assistants, rehab aides, trainers, and other allied health professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meets with patients to collect medical history, evaluate current physical ability, and develop rehabilitative treatment programs aimed at maximizing function or reducing pain.
  • Uses therapeutic procedures, exercise, or equipment to restore movement, strength, or flexibility.
  • Coordinates care across an interdisciplinary team and oversees work of allied health staff.
  • Periodically re-evaluates patient status and modifies care plan in response.
  • Educates patients and families about expectations throughout recovery.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Ensures patient safety.
  • Maintains compliance with Medicare and other quality initiatives.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy.
  • Physical Therapy license.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Competency in PT evaluation, assessment, care planning and treatment.

Physical Requirements
  • Varied activities including sitting, walking, squatting, stooping, lifting, bending, reaching.
  • Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and lift 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to use a variety of equipment including telephone, writing instruments, PC, fax and physical therapy equipment.
