Job summary

Health Here in Texas seeks a Doctor of Physical Therapy to plan and supervise comprehensive physical therapy programs across all ages in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

You will be part of a patient-centered, evidence-based practice, supervising staff, coordinating discharge planning, and contributing to safety, quality improvement, and staff training within a dynamic clinical environment.

Qualifications

• This role requires a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and current licensure as a PT.
• BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
• Strong decision-making, time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and lift up to 50 pounds with accommodations.
• Proficiency with electronic documentation and confidentiality policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and students/observers.
• Assess patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and adjust interventions based on ongoing evaluations.
• Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and families, promoting patient-centered care.
• Maintain accurate documentation, participate in discharge planning, and recommend adaptive equipment when appropriate.
• Contribute to department quality improvement initiatives, safety, and infection control policies.
• Assist in training, mentoring staff and students, and promote evidence-based practices.
• Engage in continuous professional development and participate in departmental activities like journal clubs and in-services.

Qualifications & Skills

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Strong decision-making, time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform physical activities including lifting, mobility, and endurance, with accommodations if necessary.
• Proficiency in electronic documentation and resource management, with adherence to confidentiality policies.

Physical & Working Conditions

• Ability to perform physical duties with or without accommodations, including lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent movement.
