Job description

Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs in an inpatient rehabilitation unit setting. Supervises physical therapy assistants and aides in performing treatment.

Responsibilities include: providing initial evaluation of patient's abilities, designing appropriate intervention plans, treating patients with therapeutic procedures, modalities, and equipment to improve function, and ensuring efficient management of work processes by completing tasks and assignments within time standards. Completes post-intervention activities such as session closure, documentation, communication, and charge capture.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Current state licensure as a physical therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Skills: Requires critical thinking, complex problem solving, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a demanding environment, balance multiple priorities, and take appropriate actions.
• Computer proficiency in word processing, basic application, and hardware functions required for the applicable care setting.
