Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide home-based Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers and their families. The role offers flexibility in schedule, mileage reimbursement, and eligibility for medical benefits.

Join a multidisciplinary team delivering services in both home and community settings, with opportunities to impact developmental outcomes in the first years of life.

Qualifications

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license.
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred).
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon).
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals.
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations).

Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.
