Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to join our team delivering early intervention services to infants and toddlers in their homes across California.

You will assess development, IFSP-based goals, coach families, and provide services in natural environments such as homes, daycare centers, and community settings. Sign-on bonuses, flexible scheduling, mileage reimbursement, and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license required.
• Pediatric/Early Intervention experience preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide PT services using family coaching model (Rush & Sheldon).
• Follow IFSP and work with families to develop developmental goals.
• Utilize family-centered parent coaching to build caregivers’ confidence and ensure progress generalization.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in homes, daycare centers and community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:
