Help create a brighter, stronger future for the children we serve at Shriners Children’s Southern California (SCSC). We are a family-centered, pediatric subspecialty Ambulatory Surgical Center located in Pasadena, providing complex care for children with orthopedic conditions.

Job Overview

The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluation and treatment of outpatients including infants, toddlers, school age and adolescent children. Interacts with families and children of all ages in an age appropriate manner in order to foster a family-centered care environment.

This position is full time, exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $46.14/hour - $69.22/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.

Responsibilities
  • The Physical Therapist evaluates and rehabilitates patients with intended result of the original bodily performance.
  • Provides comprehensive compliant and safe clinical care demonstrating the philosophy of family centered care, a commitment to the achievement of optimal patient outcomes in alignment with the standards of practice of their professional organization.
  • Works with medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized plans of care to meet the needs of the pediatric patients and their family.
  • Functions as a team member and develops leadership skills through activities such as: mentoring, and providing education to students and other professionals.
  • Supports the ongoing development and improvement of the department through participation in special projects, performance improvement and facility committees.
  • Responsible for professional growth and development through ongoing education and research in alignment with hospital’s patient care and strategic direction.
  • Responsible for maintaining current knowledge in changes related to scope of practice, coding/billing practices, compliant documentation and any other knowledge related to the compliant practice in a revenue cycle environment.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy
  • Licensed in state of practice

Preferred:

  • 1 year of Physical Therapy experience
  • Pediatric experience
