Job summary

Lotus Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a full-time and/or part-time/PRN Physical Therapist (PT). The role involves planning, directing, and evaluating physical therapy services to ensure high-quality resident care within a long-term care facility.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy and a current state license/registration. No prior experience is required; opportunities include guidance and training for staff and collaboration with physicians to assess

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs physical therapy services per current standards and regulations.
• Develops and maintains physical therapy standards.
• Determines staffing needs of the physical therapy department to meet residents’ needs.
• Provides guidance and training for new and/or less experienced personnel.
• Assists the physician in evaluating the patient's level of function.
• Performs patient tests and evaluations (ROM, manual muscle tests, gait analysis) and records findings.
• Plans and administers prescribed physical therapy treatment programs to restore function and relieve pain.
• Documents evaluations, plans of care, clinical notes, and progress reports.

Physical Therapist Available Shift: Full Time/ Part Time

ThePhysical Therapistplans, organizes, and directs Physical Therapy Services by current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by the administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be always maintained.

Physical Therapist Job Duties:

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs physical therapy, as well as its programs and activities, by current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Develops and maintains physical therapy standards.
• Determines the staffing needs of the physical therapy department necessary to meet the needs of the residents.
• Provides guidance and training for new and/or less experienced personnel.
• Assists the physician in evaluating the patient's level of function.
• Performs patient tests, measurements, and evaluations - such as range of motion and manual muscle tests, gait and function analysis, and body parts measurements - and records and evaluates findings to aid in establishing or revising specifics of treatment programs.
• Plans and administers prescribed physical therapy treatment programs for patients to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of body parts.
• Performs and submits required documentation of patient evaluations, plans of care, clinical notes, and progress reports.

Physical Therapist Job Qualifications:
