Job summary

The Grove at Carvalho in Fall River, MA is seeking a Full-time Physical Therapist (PT) to join the new in-house therapy team. You will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver PT services to restore mobility and independence.

Applicants must hold a DPT/MPT/BSPT and MA license (or be eligible), with CPR certification. Will supervise PTAs and collaborate with nurses, OT, SLP, and physicians. Sign-on bonus available and a supportive, ethical care environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MPT, or BSPT).
• Current State Physical Therapist license in good standing (or eligible).
• Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Strong clinical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred but not required.

$3,000 Sign on Bonus

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform initial physical therapy evaluations and create personalized treatment plans based on patient goals and needs.
• Deliver physical therapy services to restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve physical function and independence.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and physicians.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and wellness practices.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and ensure adherence to treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Participate in care planning, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives as needed.
