MercyOne Newton Medical Center seeks a Physical Therapist for a full-time Day Shift position in Newton, IA. This primary inpatient role also sees up to 3 outpatients daily, with flexible core hours 7:30am–5:30pm.
You will provide PT services under medical direction, organize therapy programs to restore function, and guide patients in mobility and assistive devices. Licensure in Iowa and current BLS are required; education from an accredited PT program.

A MercyOne Physical Therapist is responsible for providing physical therapy services as determined by medical direction, therapist judgment, patient needs and desires, and available facilities. Organize and conduct physical therapy programs in the hospital and community to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease or injury. Help patient reach his/her optimal physical abilities and learn to live within the limits of his/her capabilities.
Graduate of an accredited physical therapist educational program.
None required if education and licensure are met.
Maintain license to practice physical therapy in the state of Iowa. Maintain current BLS certification.
