Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services, Inc. (Sunny Days) is a staffing agency specializing in Early Intervention and Autism services, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age.

Qualifications

• Must hold New York Physical Therapy license.
• Experience in Early Intervention or equivalent.
• Pediatric experience required.
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental screenings/assessments and provide PT services.
• Follow IFSP and develop methodologies for reaching developmental goals.
• Coach families on intervention strategies for home and community.
• Provide services in homes, daycare centers, and other settings.
• Ensure progress is generalized; involve caregivers in intervention.
• Prepare progress reports.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA/state/federal rules.

Competitive Rates, Based on Experience

$58-$70/half hour and $66-$72/hour

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental screening/assessments, provide Physical Therapy services, and consult with family members and other professionals working with the family
• Follow an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and develop methodologies for reaching each child’s specific developmental goals
• Coach family members and caregivers on various intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over in both home and community settings
• Provide services in diverse settings such as homes, daycare centers, and/or other community settings
• Ensure that progress is generalized and caregivers are active participants in intervention through addressing specific goals, coaching sessions, and communication with the entire team
• Prepare progress reports
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (per HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements

• New York Physical Therapy (PT) license
• Early Intervention Experience OR Equivalent Experience
• Pediatric Experience
• Home Based Service Delivery Experience (preferred)
• Strong Clinical & Interpersonal Skills
• Excellent Written & Oral Communication Skills
